Experience the local towns

The Little Belt is the perfect surroundings for many experiences. Denmark's probably cosiest maritime market town, surrounded as it is by nature and with local taste experiences that far surpass the norm.

117 km of coastline

This is where your holiday atmosphere starts – from the Mediterranean atmosphere of Middelfart’s waterfront, up the coast to Strib in the north and over the hills to Vejlby Fed where you will find the Funen North Sea. There are miles and miles of shallow, child-friendly sandy beaches. Båring Vig offers a place to spend time and play games together in and by the waves. Summer, sun and locally-caught fish – enjoy the evenings in a holiday home with fresh fish on the grill from Møllers Fiskehus or at Gl. Badehotel Fiskerestaurant where you can enjoy the very popular seafood buffet.

Sailing through Fænøsund south of Middelfart, you can experience the beautiful coastline near Gamborg Fjord, which is particularly attractive for sailors and rowers. The fjord is home to a 200 year history of whaling and the Little Belt, which is full of whales.

Fønsvang Sø is Funen’s second largest lake and offers a unique and recreational nature area full of birds you can observe from the concealed bird tower. Føns Vig offers an active beach area with an open water bane, beach volleyball and lots of water games with space for both beach guests, surfers and stand-up paddle boarders.

Have fun!
