Are you into modern art, crafts and Danish design at its very best? Trapholt is a museum of modern art and design with outstanding architecture and a scenic location overlooking Kolding Fjord
⚠️ Trapholt is currently temporarily closed for approx. 14 months as the museum is being expanded and enlarged. Reopening is expected in spring 2027, when visitors can look forward to even more art, design and new experiences in improved surroundings
When Trapholt opens its doors again, you can experience:
• Changing exhibitions featuring art, design and crafts
• A large collection of furniture design, crafts and paintings
• The museum’s iconic architecture built around the central museum street
• Arne Jacobsen’s Kubeflex summer house – a complete experience for design and architecture enthusiasts
Trapholt is also known for its beautiful setting with a sculpture park and landscaped gardens high above the fjord, as well as panoramic views from the museum and café. The design shop offers interior design from both Danish and international brands. The museum has free parking and is wheelchair accessible
