There is a parking area at Båring community hall on Middelfartvej.
Follow Lykkegårdsvej to Løkkegård farm on top of the hill and continue along the field path. Turn left onto Sommerlandsvej and then right onto Skyttevej. Follow the gravel road straight through the bend and keep right where the road splits. Turn left over the small Ørredbæk before reaching the beach. Follow the very scenic path through the hilly beech forest past an old “amphitheater” and a small forest pond, continuing to Skovgyden. Turn left and walk up to the intersection at Middelfartvej. Turn left and return to the parking area.
The trail consists of gravel/field paths, soft forest paths, and a section of moderately trafficked asphalt. It is very varied and beautiful. The area is a scenic mix of cultural and natural landscape with fantastic views.
There are good opportunities to combine the hike with a swim in the sea and resting on benches along the coast.
Various route shortcuts and variations are possible, e.g., with parking at Skyttevej.
