Five beaches, one shared mark of quality

Along the coast around Middelfart you'll find five Blue Flag beaches, scattered along Lillebælt. They don't look alike: some are wide, quiet, and a little remote; others are shallow and well suited to families with kids, or close to town and easy to reach from the center.

Blue Flag is an international quality label. A beach carrying the flag has to meet requirements for clean bathing water, rescue equipment, restroom facilities, waste management, and information about nature and environment. The flag is a guarantee that the municipality actively maintains the beach.

Keep in mind: dogs are not allowed on a Blue Flag beach while the flag is flying, except for guide dogs and other working dogs. Dogs may pass through the Blue Flag zone at the back of the beach.

From April 1 to September 30, dogs must be kept on a leash on all Danish beaches, Blue Flag or not.
