The trail at Ejby and Kingstrup Moor

Explore the trails in Ejby and Kingstrup Bog – wild nature, rich plant life and a campfire site.

The trail in Ejby and Kingstrup Bog consists of a well-connected network of paths where you can explore the area and experience a near-wilderness landscape – less than 10 minutes from the nearest motorway. The bog is one of the largest on Funen, and no fewer than 245 different plant species have been recorded here.

Listen to the song of the nightingale and the sound of fish splashing in the water. If you bring a fishing rod, you might even be lucky enough to catch a fish. The area also has a campfire site and a nature playground for children. You can also search for a variety of edible plants – we have selected a few examples you can look for along the way.

Important: The area features a varied landscape of bog habitats, peat lakes, streams, freshwater meadows and ridges with farmland. The total area covers about 270 hectares, most of which belongs to private landowners. Please be considerate and stay on the marked route, as bottomless holes may occur in several places. The yellow marked trail is 4.8 km long. You can walk a loop in Ejby Bog, cross the stream and continue in Kingstrup Bog – or combine the two. The trip can also be extended by following the gravel roads towards Kingstrup. Access is allowed on foot or by bicycle. At each number (1–10) on the map you will find an information board.
