There's something about looking out over the water

Your gaze settles, your thoughts slow down. Along the coast near Middelfart, the landscape opens up generously in several places, giving you Lillebælt in widescreen. Cliff edges, forested hills and old lighthouses are the building blocks of a very particular experience in nature.

From Gals Klint on the Hindsgavl Peninsula, you watch the beech forest mirror itself in the water with Fænøsund lying still before you. Strib Lighthouse marks the tip of the peninsula with views of the sunset behind both Lillebælt bridges, and from the Hindsgavl Peninsula the trail winds along the coast with water on both sides.

These aren't just viewpoints. It's an entire coastline that invites you to be present.

Røjle Klint

From the top, your gaze stretches across the strait to Fredericia and north towards Kattegat. Røjle Klint stands with its raw cliff face down to Lillebælt, shaped by time. If you're lucky, you might find a shark tooth or a whale bone.

Strib Lighthouse

The sun sets behind the bridges and the lighthouse in Strib. The sky turns gold and the gulls cry the sun to sleep. Another day has passed and a new one is on its way. On a clear night, you can spot the Big Dipper, Orion and Ursa Major.

Hindsgavl Halvøen

Take a walk on the Hindsgavl Peninsula. Stop. Look around.
The twisted tree trunks, a mouse in the undergrowth and the Old Lillebælt Bridge from new angles. Enjoy the quiet that nature gives you freely.

Den gamle Lillebæltsbro

Walk out to the middle of the Old Lillebælt Bridge. Look down at the water, then across to Fredericia and Middelfart. You're in the middle. You're part of something bigger. Nature, wind and a sense of connection.
