Husby Strand - Havørred Hotspot nr. 101

Husby Strand is perfect for fishing in strong southwesterly winds with shelter and deep troughs. Continue to Wedellsborg Reef for powerful currents and the chance for your dream sea trout.
The north side of the Wedellsborg Peninsula is known as Husby Strand. It’s one of the few West Funen spots worth visiting in strong southwesterly and even fresh westerly winds. Here you’ll find shelter – and almost always sea trout – in the deep “bathtub” that starts just after the parking area and continues almost all the way to the tip of Wedellsborg. If you’re up for a walk, fish all the way to the northwest corner – a true golden spot. And if you still have energy and the wind allows, continue down to the southwest corner. Here you’ll find Wedellsborg Reef: a spectacular sea trout spot with strong currents, big stones, and the chance for the sea trout of a lifetime. Best wind direction: SE – SW.
