By the water
Middelfart is an ideal starting point for trips on the water. Here, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to rent a boat, canoe or SUP. If you bring your own boat or kayak, there are many launching sites that make it easy to get on the water. From the water, you can experience Middelfart’s beautiful and varied landscape in a unique way. You sail or paddle between town and nature, with the coastline following you on both sides of the strait.

Currents
Strong currents can flow through the narrows of the Little Belt. Currents of between 3 and 5 knots are not unusual when it is very windy. Even when the wind is calm, currents usually flow at speeds of several knots. It is therefore important to find out about the state of currents in the Little Belt.
